About
Working at Nordcode company I created a fresh-looking website design and user-friendly credit application form for the banking system.
Specializing in business and personal financing, the bank needed a game-changing upgrade: serious improvements in their workflow and more innovative solutions that could generate more leads. The old design solution was outdated and needed more improvements.
Goal
To use banking services, sometimes you need to wait a long time. It doesn't matter if you are a business client or a regular consumer – it may sometimes take up to 30 days. Today we have become used to accessing any banking services online anytime, anywhere. But in this case – successful operations are almost exclusively on-site. So our goal was to create a digital transformation process for standard banking procedures.
Process
We started this project focussing on operations automation. Our targeted aim diminished greatly. We managed to achieve that a simple loan process wouldn’t take more than half an hour. All that's left for the client is to sign a contract in their preferred way.
Secondly, we collected the previous experiences of users and according to their requests and insights, we simplified the procedures of the most popular services. The overload of documents, difficult texts, and chaotic segmentation led to unwanted results: the clients couldn't understand the main products and services or the procedures on how to obtain them.
I created a needed structure with serious improvements. I wanted to make everything easy to understand and easily accessible within a few clicks. For that reason, I started with low-fi wireframes and user flow maps and ended with high-fi wireframes which were transformed into a clean and fresh design.
Solution
Every bank has loads of information. This is why the most problematic issue on the Medbank website was the ease of use of the information. We came up with a solution and arranged the whole process from the ground up to sort all the instances that may happen.
With a simplistic process and a more modern design, we reached our goal to create a better experience for existing and new users. To use a website right now is more easy and most important financial processes like loans with real estate pledges or car leasing now are more user-friendly.
Results
The services that used to take up to 30 days are now available within a 1-hour to 3-day period. A simple and clean design system helped us to reach the simplicity we wanted: things you need – accessed in seconds. The platform is easy to use and looks better compared with competitors in the market.
